WonderWorks is looking for a Corporate HR Manager to join our team! From streamlining recruitment processes to ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of growth and inclusion, you'll play a pivotal role in making our workforce as WONDERful as our attractions!
Responsibilities:
- Reviews, updates, and enforce the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Research organizational studies and recommend modifications to HR programs, policies, and procedures as appropriate.
- Maintains current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives.
- Maintains knowledge of HR industry trends, employment legislation and ensures organizations compliance.
- Analyze annual insurance and benefit plans and assists with enrollment, implementation, and invoicing.
- Develops internal programs, guidelines, and procedures for varying HR reward initiatives.
- Initiates HR communications with companywide HR managers and vendors.
- Assists in employee relations matters to investigate and resolve problems.
- Handles recruitment, selection, and placement, and on/off-boarding as needed.
- Processes weekly payroll, while ensuring all status changes, PTO, benefits enrollment, and/or compensation changes are up to date and accurately reflected in the pay period.
- Assists in process or system improvements and efficiencies for the departments.
- Oversees the implementation of the department-wide training, safety, and new employee orientation projects.
- Audits, researches, maintains proper employee records, garnishments, taxes, invoicing, and paperwork as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication
- Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather conditions
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and make reasonable & ethical decisions
- Experience working with HRIS systems
- 3+ years of experience working in the Human Resources field
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or business management or HR Certification preferred
- Previous management experience in an attraction, theme park, or high-volume entertainment venue environment is preferred
- Ability to stand, sit and walk throughout the work area for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
